“The doctor will SKYPE you now?” A new medical apps lets patients video chat with their physicians and access their medical records remotely. But how to keep such technology safe and secure? A British company, MyClinic.com, says that blockchain holds the key.
A new trial of a telemedicine application called MyClinic.com, utilising Blockchain technology will be released in south-west London next month.
The service will allow patients to visit their doctor through a video consultation and pay by using ‘MedTokens’, a form of cryptocurrency similar to Bitcoin. The aim is to build better relationships between doctors and their patients.
